Incredibly, several German celebrities use the surname Maske, which simply means “mask”. The most famous one is GDR boxer Henry Maske, who was called “The Gentleman” for his refined manners, hint hint. Names like these are likely really just masks for spook celebrities, to hide their aristocratic upbringing.

This should be confirmation for other mask-like names like Elon Musk.

Interestingly, the word mask itself is very likely of Semitic origin. This is evidence that the ancient kingdoms knew about masking, even before theater was invented. Official explanations include Arabic مسخر masḫara “mockery”, مسخ masaḫa “transformation”, and Hebrew מסך masakh “screen”, which in modern speech has even taken on the meaning “mask” because it’s so similar.
