Diodorus: History of Egypt
The Bibliotheca Historica by Diodorus Siculus is a famous classical work about world history. Beneath the pun-encryption, it tells about the history of ruling by deception.
Introduction
The Bibliotheca Historica by Diodorus Siculus is a famous universal history, i.e. a text about the history of the entire world. While some parts of the work are lost, most are not. The beginning is clustered into sections according to regions: Egypt, Mesopotamia, Africa, Greece, Europe. As usual with ancient texts, everything is pun-encrypted. In this case, the encrypted narrative seems to tell the secret history as it actually unfolded. However, since it was written down in classical times, the most archaic eras were already half-forgotten, even by the elites.
Unlike parables, these histories are difficult to decrypt, because some names are puns, and some are not. Typically, the names of rulers from archaic times are puns, because in Diodorus’ times, no one knew their real names anymore anyway. Names of places, however, are sometimes puns and sometimes not, depending on what’s needed for the sentence.
I have decrypted here a small section that discusses whether ruling by deception was perhaps invented in Egypt. Because the subjects there are the most brainwashed, the rulers the most ruthless, and the hoaxed events staged there are the largest and fool the greatest number of people.
I personally do think that ruling by deception was indeed invented in the oldest civilizations, but simply because systematic deception is impossible without the hierarchies found only in advanced civilizations. The oldest civilizations had those for the longest time, so rulers & subjects had already evolved into 2 totally different mindsets.
Total deception is of course not a necessary byproduct of civilization per se, but some specifics on our planet additionally reinforced it, such as the easy monopolization of land, water and metal-ores in some regions.
How to read this
- In the interlinear word-by-word translation, each word is shown as a little block; each verse is a paragraph of little blocks.
- Use the to choose your level: for secret meaning only, for secret & official English texts, for word-by-word vocabulary, for original text & glyphs.
- Possible pun-encrypted meaning is marked with light red.
- Official meaning is marked with light green.
- Pun vocabulary is in red, whenever the meaning differs. All vocabulary is linked to online dictionaries.
- Please read the introduction, and judge yourself whether I got it right.
- Religious readers should proceed with care.
History of deception in Egypt
Egyptian rulers claim invention of deception, as they have the tamest subjects.
